- Remove files to make space in Windows partition
- Try to defrag and shrink: Fail while trying
- Remove/deactivate "unmovable files"
- Remove/deactivate Paging file
- Remove/deactivate Hibernation
- Remove/deactivate System Rescue
- Try again to defrag and shrink: Fail while trying
- Check Defrag log messages with Windows Event log viewer
- Find out the exact unmovable file giving problems
- Remove/deactivate NTFS filesystem journal file
- Try again to defrag and shrink: success
- Shrink harddrive to enough space
- Reboot
- Enter BIOS
- Configure/check/activate for UEFI booting
- Disable/deactivate Legacy BIOS boot and secure boot
- Enter boot menu
- Using dd to copy Ubuntu installation image file to USB Flash drive
- Boot into Ubuntu Installation USB drive
- Install Ubuntu
- Configure WIFI
- Configure BIOS for Ubuntu default booting
